Treat Yourself to a Cup of Pistachio Gelato at Devine Gelateria and Cafe in Sacramento

Elizabeth McCleary was a kid when she first began churning out batches of homemade ice cream with a tiny ice cream maker. Through the years, her love for ice cream and all sweets never abated, so she followed her passion and made desserts her profession. In 2011, after years of perfecting her recipes, she opened Devine Gelateria and Cafe in Sacramento.
All of the treats and other eats that Elizabeth sells is made from scratch daily, and the ingredients are sourced locally — but there are exceptions. For example, Devine’s uses chocolate imported from Italy because Elizabeth found it to be better than anything she could obtain in the local area. Speaking of chocolate, the chocolate chocolate chip is one of the crowd-pleasing flavors of gelato here, as is the pistachio, described by one Yelper as “to die for.” The menu also includes baked goods, salads, paninis, and coffee.
